1920’S
-
1921
Akihiro Teraoka founded TERAOKA SEISAKUSHO at the current location of the company's head office.
The company began the production of Black Tapes for electrical insulation to meet the demands of the age of electricity. (Anniversary of the founding of the company on February 11)
- 1929 A new manufacturing method for the Black Tapes by friction coating using recycled rubber was completed.
1940’S
- 1943 Reorganized as a joint stock company.
- 1945 Kintaro Matsunaga assumed the post of Director and President.
1950’S
- 1950 Production of vinyl adhesive tapes and Olive Tapes began.
- 1952 Production of 6 new types of tapes including crepe tapes began.
- 1956 Production of polyester film adhesive tapes began.
1960’S
- 1961 Entered the general industrial field with the development of double-sided adhesive tapes.

1962
Motoyuki Teraoka assumed the post of Director and President. The capital was increased to 100 million yen.
Operation of the Ohmiya Plant started.
Osaka sub-branch Office (currently Osaka Branch Office) opened.
- 1965 Production of acetate cloth adhesive tapes began.
- 1967 Kannami Plant began operation to meet the increasing demand for Olive Tapes.

1968
Nagoya Sales office (currently Nagoya Branch Office) opened.
Production of combination adhesive tapes began.
1970’S
- 1970 Operation of the Sano Plant started.
- 1972 Production of glass cloth adhesive tapes began.
- 1973 Production of Nomex® adhesive tapes, Kapton® film adhesive tapes, copper foil adhesive tape, and aluminum foil adhesive tapes began.
- 1977 Registered as an over-the-counter stock on the stock market. Increased the capital to 500 million yen.

1978
Tokyo Branch Office opened.
Production of belting tapes, waterproof tapes and CRT explosion-proof tapes began. - 1979 Production of double-sided film tapes began. Entered the materials sector of the electronics industry.
1980’S
- 1984 Increased the capital to 1,313 million yen.
- 1985 Sendai Sales Office and Fukuoka Sales Office opened.
- 1987 Listed on the Second Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange. Increased the capital to 2,213 million yen.
- 1989 Production of copper foil conductive adhesive tapes began.
1990’S
- 1990 Operation of the Ibaraki Plant started. Omiya Sales Office opened.
- 1994 Production of polyethylene cloth adhesive tapes began.
- 1995 Hong Kong Representative Office was established. Tera-Tak (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. was established.
- 1996 Increased the capital to 3,904 million yen. Completed the Chemical Research and Technology Center.

1997
All domestic plants were certified to ISO 9001. Yokohama Sales Office opened.
Production of silicone rubber adhesive tapes began.
2000’S
- 2000 Keishiro Teraoka assumed the post of Director and President.
- 2001 All domestic plants were certified to ISO 14001.

2004
Introduced a new corporate trademark and updated the company logo.
Teraoka Seisakusho (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established. Tera-Tak (Hong Kong) was recognized as a wholly owned subsidiary and changed its name to Teraoka Seisakusho (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. - 2006 Teraoka Seisakusho (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teraoka Seisakusho (Hong Kong) was established.
- 2007 Shin-Ei Shoji Co., Ltd. was recognized as a wholly owned subsidiary.
- 2009 Operation of a new production line at the Ibaraki plant started.
2010’S
- 2011 PT. Teraoka Seisakusho Indonesia was established.
- 2013 Seoul Branch Office and Taipei Representative Office opened.
- 2015 Curing tape received the "Good Design Long Life Design Award 2015".
- 2018 Kenichi Tsuji assumed the position of Director and President.
2020’S
- 2022 The listing market was changed to the Standard Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
